Incubation
Primary function of Technology Incubation Centre (TIC) is promotion of entrepreneurship by helping start-up businesses become successful; a concept known as ‘business incubation.’ Taking on the traditional role of an incubation facility or an ‘Incubator,’ TIC provides you a business-conducive environment with necessary strategic and operational support services. This reduces the amount of initial investment to set up a business venture and increases the success potential of your business.

How to start with us
In order to secure the status of an incubated firm at our facility you need to fill a formal application form (available at downloads section.) Once we have received your application form it will be vetted by our team members from business development group and technical experts group. Processing of an application usually takes four to five business days and is discussed at different forums within our organization. On the completion of initial processing you shall be contacted by a representative of our team to let you know whether your application has qualified for the second stage or not. If our team perceives your business idea to be viable and believes that we can assist you in setting up your business venture and making it successful then we shall request a formal meeting to discuss in detail your business idea and type of support you are seeking. We expect you to bring detailed feasibility study/major milestones along with a formal presentation on what and how you wish to proceed with your business. After the completion of this step your business idea is once again deliberated and is presented to senior management for their approval. This is followed up by a formal letter from our team informing you about the outcome of your application.

After the Selection
On successful completion of selection process we present you with a tenancy agreement which normally accompanies afore-mentioned offer letter. This agreement outlines terms and modalities of our relationship with your firm for the period of your stay at our facility. Signing of agreement along with a payment equivalent to six months rent (3 months advanced rent and 3 months as refundable security deposit) must be made before occupancy of your office space.
For the initial period of six months your firm will be considered in the pre-incubation phase and its status is probationary. During this time we help you establish a fully function business unit and observe how your idea/business evolves. At the end of pre-incubation period, if your firm shows signs of maturity in its promised potential then the status of your firm will be converted to a regular incubated firm. We expect a firm to reach full maturity level by the end of third year (inclusive of pre-incubation period) and facilitate its move in the open market or to the next level of facilitation in the Technology Park. The milestone of your firm moving out of incubation facility after successful completion of its incubation period is called ‘Graduation’ of the firm.
Successful former incubated firms are entitled to request services of TIC on need basis against an agreed upon premium.

Our IP protection services are also available for individuals/groups interested in only the registration of appropriate IP right and not starting a business at our facility. This cannot go without saying that we are the designated facilitation centre of Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan, Government of Pakistan for the Islamabad/Rawalpindi region.
